A extra day!

The last time it was February 29th Bobby and I were living with his mom, looking for a house.  We didn’t have kids yet and I was working at Corphealth, Bobby was working in the PCU at Harris Southwest.  I was in graduate school and Bobby wasn’t. Wow, things have changed.

It made me smile to think I got a extra day of Lily being a “baby” before her 1st birthday comes.  We had a fun day at the park and hung out at the house.

I may not go in my backyard ever again :)  Tree crews have been trimming trees around our power lines and today they told me that a tree, that is in my neighbors yard but the tree backs right up to our fence has a bee hive in the tree trunk.  When they trimmed it they were flying all around.  So I left a note on my neighbors door, but I wish I could have talked to her in person.  Andrew loved watching the guys work in the back yard and kept telling me he wanted to go outside and see the bees.   This is our 2nd time to have a bee hive so close to us at this house!

Lily finding Andrew’s scraps of broccoli, then Andrew started feeding her under the table, they both had fun with this game and it was 4:50 pm so I was tired and didn’t really care either.  Hey, they both are eating!
Lily loves to pull up and push the kitchen chairs back and forth.  This is the first spot I go to when she has crawled off somewhere.
Andrew showing off his orange pepper.  At Andrew’s 3 years appointment the doctor encouraged me to offer 4 meals a day to Andrew instead of a bunch of snacks.  Since then I have been feeding Andrew dinner at around 4 pm, this is when he is the hungriest.  I used to try to make him wait until 5 to eat but then things got crazy and intense begging for food happens and then I brake down and let him have a little snack and then he doesn’t want to eat at 5 and then we have dinner drama until bedtime.  Now he is having dinner at 4 and then bedtime snack or another dinner at 6:30.  For now this works and it has been nice to feed him and then feed Lily at around 4:30 and then I eat at 5 with Bobby before he goes to work.
On the move looking for fun.
Mr. Fun found Lily.  Here Andrew is pushing Lily’s bottom down (his favorite game to play with her since she has started crawling).  Lily loves it the 1st three times, laughs and squeals.  The problem is that Andrew is like a lab puppy.  The more Lily laughs the more excited he gets and the rougher he gets and then she gets hurt and the lab puppy didn’t mean to and still wants to play.

It was fun having a extra day to play with my kidos at home and enjoy the simplicity of our lives right now, especially Andrew since the next time it will be February 29th Andrew will be in 1st grade!
