Kindergarten Recitation

Andrew’s school had their recitation last week. In the classical schools the kids recite what they are learning for their parents. They do lots of memory songs to learn different things. Andrew kept us in suspense not telling us what they were going to preform. Kindergarten recited the days of the week, months of the year and counted to 30.
Andrew did a great job preforming, he has had plenty of practice with all of his preschool performances. We sat on the opposite end of where Andrew was sitting so my pictures aren’t that great. Kindergarten was the first to preform and I was unsure about going to the front to take pictures since this was our first event like this.  Next year I will know to get up front to get a better picture, I am thankful I had my camera lens on that lets me zoom in from far away.

Andrew’s class wore uniforms but every other grade dressed up in costumes about what they recited. Kindergarten and first grade sang their’s as a group but 2nd grade and up recited a couple of sentences all by themselves into the microphone. I was impressed they all were so brave.

They danced for a little bit of the counting song.

Andrew is doing well in kindergarten, the whole family has adjusted to the change in routine. It is neat to see how much he has learned in the few short weeks that he has been in school. Andrew doesn’t tell me much about his day, but he always tells me who got in trouble that day and what they did. Andrew loves P.E. he is the only kindergartener in P.E. and he tells me all the time that the other kids think he is 6 years old because he looks big :) It is adorable what is a big deal to him.

Pumpkins at the pumpkin patch.

This year we took the whole family to a pumpkin patch one Saturday morning. This was the first time for Bobby to join us on a outing like this.

I can’t believe my baby pumpkin is this big! He was in awww of the country critter farm.
It was a beautiful fall day and the kids were so excited.

Of course this kid was fearless siting up high on the bale of hay, don’t worry Bobby was right next to him, I cropped him out of the picture. safety first.
Lily did not was to go up high on the hay.

Trying to get a picture of 5 kids 5 years old and younger is pretty difficult.
Little buddies trying to move a pumpkin bigger than them combined.
Cousin Ben, checking out the giant pumpkin.
Andrew loves a pony ride, he told me these were not ponies because ponies are for girls. He is referring to the My Little Pony toys. These are small horses that boys can ride.
Ava also enjoyed the pony ride too.
The day before we went to the pumpkin patch Lily was so excited and kept telling us that she wanted to ride a pony. “Daddy, take me to the pumpkin patch so I can ride a pony!”  Well we got there and Lily would not even pet a pony, so she did not ride a pony and required to be held when close to them. Bobby enjoyed the snuggles.
These kids enjoyed the petting zoo. Will was yelling and pointing at the animals. Lily did not enjoy the animals and refused to walk into the petting zoo area, she had to be held. She is funny about animals.
Talking to the animals, trying to boss them around.
Cousins going on a country train ride.

 Picking out pumpkins.
Hitting pumpkins.

I love these 3 little pumpkins.
Lily had so much as long as the animals were not around.

 Ava the scarecrow.
 Andrew the scarecrow.
Sweet Ava, the fun filled morning wore her out.
 William
These kids are already too cool for family pictures. Happy fall from the Caivano’s.

Lily and Ava’s slumber party

Lily got to have a special sleep over at Nana’s house with her cousin Ava. They are 7 months apart in age and they have so much fun together.
Cupcake pajamas and enjoying a show before bed.
These curly haired cuties are adorable.
Popsicles make the perfect bedtime snack.
Brushing teeth is extra fun with a friend.  I have so many wonderful memories of playing and spending the night with my cousins, it is so fun to see Lily getting to experience the fun too.

First Field Trip for Andrew

Andrew’s kindergarten went on their first field trip to Main Stay Farm a pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day and we all had so much fun touring the farm.
Andrew and his new friend Lincoln.
Running around on hay bales is a fun way to get some energy out.
Roasting marshmallows. Andrew preferred his un roasted but he had a fun time putting his poker in the fire.
Dressing the scarecrow. It was fun watching the kids interact with each other.

We had such a fun time and I enjoyed getting to know other mom’s from the school.

Will 18 months old

Will turned 18 months old in September. He is still the little busy little boy.  Will is so much fun, he loves to play games, wrestle and run and chase. Will’s favorite words right now are Mama and my (he means mine).

Will insists on doing everything the big kids do all the time. He will not be left out of the fun. Will goes all day running and climbing and then at nap time and night time, I think he is not tired and will never fall asleep. Most days I lay him in his crib and he passes out and sleeps really well to recharge for when he gets up.

Will is a little cookie monster, he loves sweets. He is a good little eater, this past week he has started eating raw bell peppers and a few cucumbers. Hopefully he will be a good veggie eater like his big brother and sister.
Will loves to dance to music, throw balls and climb everything.

Yogurt is one of Will’s favorite snacks, one morning he ate a whole 6 oz carton and then finished off Lily’s carton.
Will loves Andrew and Lily, he defiantly keeps things fun.
We have gone to the zoo a few times and Will surpasses me how far he can walk at the zoo. It is hard to tell in the picture, here Will has climbed this fence and at the zoo and is scaring me that he is going to topple in the water.

 My climber

18 months is such a funny stage in childhood. Will is torn he wants to be a big kid but some days he is still my baby having a hard day and the only thing that will fix it is being held and rocked. Will loves to snuggle, most mornings when he gets up he will let me rock him and snuggle, it is so sweet.
My sweet baby, Will has just recently stopped taking 2 naps a day. He took 2 naps until 18 months old. Some days it is so hard to wait until after lunch for nap.
My little climber. Will is notorious for climbing on to the kitchen table and stealing food off Andrew and Lily’s plates. He climbs everything!!!!

Love you sweet William!!!!
