Silly Summer

Well June is going by quickly... this summer has felt a little crazy.  I have become a lot more laid back and relaxed since William came in March.  This summer the big kids go to bed after 8:30 every night and most days sleep in until around 8-9 am. Andrew is such a night owl, most nights he doesn't fall asleep until 10 or 11pm!  Andrew went to VBS this week and it was so hard to get everyone dressed and in the car by 8:45am.  Andrew had a great time at VBS and Lily had fun playing with Andrew's toys while he was gone.
Oh bandaids have taken over our house.  Andrew is really into bandaids, he scratches his mosquito bites until they bleed to get a bandaid, then Lily has to get one too...  She thinks of creative places to put the bandaids.  Once we have gone through the 3 boxes of character bandaids I will only buy plain brown ones.  Sorry William you won't have character bandaids.

This is what you find at our house on a Friday at 9:30 pm night if Bobby is off, the kids want to watch the Rangers for the night time instead of reading books.  Lily has started tagging along in order to postpone going to bed.
William looking ridiculously cute waiting to go swim.

We have had to much fun going to the pool in the evening this summer.  The kids love to play shark, crocodile, dolphin and any other chase game that we come up with.  Lily loves to play on the stairs into the pool.

"I wanna ride in daddy's truck" is what Lily loves to say right now.  Bobby is still collecting firewood for the winter.
Andrew is loving the idea of Monsters Inc.  they are advertising everywhere right now.  I even bought Pirates Booty chips that Andrew didn't like previously but when the bag had Mike and Sulley on it, all of a sudden it was delicious.  Andrew also tried to decorate his room with "Cars" bandaids!!!!  I am so ready for the bandaid phase to be over.  I had to sneak those off one at a time to get them off his wall.
 Adorable little Miss. Bossy Pants

Simple snacks taste so much better after swimming when you get to eat them on cute kid sized picnic tables.
This is one of Bobby's favorite pictures of Lily right now, looking adorable in her swimsuit!
Andrew has officially passed his Thomas the Train sunglasses on to William.

Andrew's creative way to wear sunglasses and glasses at the same time.  He is liking his glasses and would wear them for all 3 hours at VBS this week.
Lily and I took a special trip to the store, just the 2 of us to pick out purple goggles.
My little king of the bed.  The week we moved the crib into Andrew's room, William started waking up every 2 hours at night in protest.  Then next week he refused to nap unless being held.  This past week has been better.  Maybe soon I will be brave and try to have William sleep a night in the boy's room.  Until then he is enjoying being the king of the bed when dad is at work.

THE BED!

Well it is officially done and up in the room.

Last fall when we found out that we were having a boy, we decided to have Bobby build a loft bed to make more room in the boys room and extra storage.  Bobby's plan was to use lumber and build it during his month off from school at Christmas time.  Well I should have known better, the simple loft bed turned into a super cool bed.  Bobby got it finished up and moved into the boys room at the beginning of June.
Drew and Lily had so much fun on the new bed checking it out.
There are 2 large shelves that we are going to put bins in for toy storage.  Bobby didn't make the ladder as he had planed but we are so glad he didn't, this ladder is removable which will be great when we have friends over that are little and we don't want climbing up without adult supervision.

These kids are now professional ladder climbers and Drew has slept great on his bed.  I prayed that he would not get scared at night being up high and the Lord answered that prayer. I love this photo of big

Bobby is so talented, he did a great job designing and making the bed.  It is so fun to have our house filling up with cool things that he has made. Plus this is one sturdy well made bed, it easily held all 5 of us on the bed.  Before Bobby had glued it together, he got up on it and it didn't even wiggle a little.  So it is well made!

Watching Jake the Pirate one afternoon.
 The cutest little brother ever!

2 of my 3 kids before church one Sunday.  As usual Andrew was refusing to be in the picture. I am trying to be more intentional about being in a few pictures with the kids.

 The little farm boy.
Andrew really wanted me to take this picture. haha

3 month old

William is 3 months old! He is so full of smiles and coo's and is very alert.  William loves to chew on his hands.

I love this smile!
Me and my little guy.  William will find me in any room, he only has eyes for me right now!  He tracks  me all the time.
William rolled over 3 times on the day he turned 3 months old.  William loves to stand and lock his legs and likes to move around.  He is so strong at lifting his head off the ground.  I had forgotten how much more physical boys are than Lily was.  Lily cuddled more and sat in my lap more than William and Andrew. William laughed for the first time at Uncle Dave on May 30th.
This cute little guy is getting so big, he is wearing 6 month clothes.  He was sleeping really good through the night, but the last few weeks he must have hit a growth spurt because he is up a lot at night to eat.  William is a Caivano, he stays up late and likes to sleep in.  Many mornings I am waking him up.  We are still working on a nap schedule for William.  He is a typical 3rd child, he basically eats and sleeps when he wants to.  Andrew is sooo ready for William to sleep in their room together.  We moved the crib into the boys room but since nights have been kinda wild with William I haven't moved him in the for nights yet.  Andrew keeps telling me that he will take care of William if he cries in the middle of the night.  I am so excited to watch their friendship grow in the years to come.

William got his 3 month pictures taken.  He did so well.  Here are some of my favorites.

This basket picture makes me chuckle because he looks so long in that basket.
I see this silly face a lot, when William is startled by a loud noise.
 Showing off his head control

 My favorite picture.

William is such a blessing.  It has been fun watching him discover the world.  I love watching him sleep, hearing is little snoring and laughing in his sleep.  His favorite toy is his hands and watching his feet move.  He loves baths, going on walks and being a adorable handsome baby!

Look who is 30!!!

Guess who had a birthday..... Bobby!  He did not want a birthday cake so I made him his favorite sugar cookies.
Bobby wanted to eat a Red Lobster for his birthday, the family came too.  The kids did great since we were in Red Lobster for 2 hours!
It is hard to believe I meet Bobby when he was 18!

Lily did not want to wear the lobster bib.
Andrew had fun playing with the snow crab legs Bobby ordered.

Family picture when we got done eating.

Latter that night William laughed for the first time at Uncle Dave.

Happy Birthday Bobby...old man :)

guess who got glasses

At the end of May Andrew got glasses.  He got his eyes checked March and he has astigmatism.  I think he looks adorable in his glasses that look like daddy's.

So far he enjoys wearing them, one of the lens has already fallen out and I found it on his floor.  We currently are letting him wear them when he wants to and not fight it since he is young and not in school.  When we left the store Andrew kept looking down at his shoes because the circles on them looked different.  He now squints when he doesn't have his glasses on, he had never done that before.  As I write this Andrew has not worn his glasses at all the past 2 days due to swimming and playing outside.

Bye Bye Thomas... Hello Trucks

We had a fun year of Thomas the Train mania.  Andrew would play for hours making track and running his trains on it.  About 3 months ago Andrew started digging with his trucks in the back yard.  He now watches Mighty Machines and looks for construction trucks when we are in the car (it is really easy to find these with all of the construction in Fort Worth).
Getting a up close glimpse of a front end loader while we stopped at the mall.
Andrew loves to go to the park by my parents house because it has rock and these excavators to dig with.  We pack up our trucks and he has fun digging in the rocks.  It is hard to believe that this is the same park I played on as a child.  I sat on that same excavator many times as a child.

Last week we walked to the park by our house and we had a fun surprise... a dump truck was dumping fresh sticks/mulch on the playground.  Andrew sat on the top of the slide and watched every detail, then his truck helped spread the mulch.

I am now trying to get mud/ dirt out of this little boys clothes.  I know it has been a good day for Andrew if his feet are darker with dirt.  He is also taking more baths :)
