First Grade Recitation

 In October Andrew had recitation at school.  His class did a rap type song about all the number combinations that make 10. Andrew was the number 0, he was so excited to get to wear the green sunglasses.

September fun

 It must be a instinct in boys to dig when they see dirt.

 Will’s new interest in digging and trucks helped ease us into the first grade homeschool.

 I love this adorable little guy. The whole month of September Will had dirt on his hands and face all the time. I kinda gave up on trying to keep him clean.

 The YMCA pool is closed but we are still swimming in the backyard.

 I love when I capture my kids being creative and playing outside. Here they are creating a club house to hang out in. They lined up random yard stuff to make a wall. This entertained them for a hour or so for several days.

My mini me

 Sunday is the one day a week that I get pick what everyone wears. There can be lots of drama, but on Sunday I get to win. Most Sundays the kids and I usually all coordinate, not on purpose. I think it is because what ever mood I am in clothing wise I pick for everyone. One Sunday Lily and I were practically identical and I didn’t ever realize it until we got to church. We had to take a picture to remember this fun day.

I am savoring these moments when Lily wants to dress like me and thinks it is awesome that we were matching.

Lemonade Stand

Andrew has been begging me for almost a year to have a lemonade stand. I have come up with many good excuses. I finally said yes, cousins Ava and Ben were in town, so we invited them over to be our customers. Our sweet next door neighbor’s big kids also came over for a glass too.

 Andrew is quite the entrepreneur. He apparently is selling gourmet lemonade. The neighbors paid 25 cents.

 A science activity Andrew had to do for school was to make a human sun dial and take pictures 4 different times that day. Some of Andrew’s school activities are really interesting to me and are reteaching me what I have forgotten.

 Two weeks after school started Lily got sick and had to miss school that day. She was so sad but rested up and got to feeling better quick.

 It is all fun and games until it is time to clean up those millions of legos! Being 2 years old is rough when you realize that you can’t always get what you want.

Even the big kids will join in and make a home for Lily’s beloved bunny stuffed animal named Bun Bun.

Fall schedules

 The first day I dropped Lily off at school, Will cried “I want to go to Mrs. Donna’s class” all the way down the hallway to leave.  I guess hearing Lily talk about school so much, got him thinking he would get to go. On days that the weather is nice Will plays on the school playground after we drop off Lily.

A park by our house got all new playground equipment.  We have had so much fun playing at it while it still feels new to us.

The tire swing is a big hit and something fun that all three kids can do together.

Will is defiantly our loud child right now.  He has 2 volumes most times loud and silent.  This picture caught Will in action, shouting.

Lily’s First Day of Preschool

 Lily’s big day finally came! Her first day of school in Mrs. Donna’s class. She was so excited. Lily goes to school 2 days a week this year. They are the same days as Andrew, so it is just Will and I on those days.

 Will had to get in a picture too. Lily was very willing to take as many pictures as needed. Andrew opted out of the photos.

 Lily’s preschool is right across the street from Andrew’s school. Her school starts 30 min after Andrew’s so we usually just play on the playground until the school doors open.

 Her backpack is as big as her.

I love love love this picture! Lily had a great day and can’t wait to go back. When Lily grows up she wants to be a grandma, a mom and a teacher. Her favorite color is Elsa blue. I call her my bunny rabbit because she loves raw carrots and spinach. Everyday Lily tells me all about her class. I love getting so many details from her!

Austin and stiches

This summer the Hanson’s moved to Round Rock. In August we finally were able to travel to see them and their new house.

 We ate dinner at the Oasis restaurant and the kids had fun exploring the large outdoor area.

 It was a beautiful night.

 We took this great family picture with the sunsetting behind us on the lake and then the we watched the kids run around and chase each other in the large concrete and gravel area. Will was running hard and fast and slipped on some gravel and fell face first on the ground and a piece of rock busts into his forehead! After he calms down we realize that he is going to need 2 stitches. Usually when we travel Bobby brings a first aid kit that has everything you need to give stitches.  However this was a quick trip that we just threw some clothes into the minivan and headed down I-35. We were not as prepared as we normally are.  After calling some urgent care centers in Austin and finding out about how much it would cost for 2 stitches!  Bobby decides to just drive Will home and stitch him up himself. I stayed with Andrew and Lily in Round Rock. Around 10:30 pm Bobby gets into Fort Worth and stitches Will up on the kitchen table with the help of Nana, and Jace and Sarah our neighbors. Will was the first Caivano kid to get stitches. They slept at home and drove back to Round Rock the next morning. Whew it was a long fun filled weekend!

 That afternoon we enjoyed the Hanson’s neighborhood pool. It was so fun to swim with cousins.

 Ashley and David bought this float with Bobby and I about 8 years ago in Waco before any of us had kids. Now it is full of our kids!

 Cousins that look like they could all be siblings. All 5 of them have curly hair!

Waiting for Preschool

 I captured one of Will’s battle scars. He tripped on the stairs at the pool and scrapped his face up.

 Lily was ready for school to start ever since we visit her school way back in January. She patiently waited all summer. Every time we drive by her school she says “hi, school!” Andrew started school about 2 weeks before Lily. It was a long 2 weeks of Lily waiting for her school to start. Here she is having a practice school lunch at home.

Andrew put his favorite shirt on Will. Andrew wore this shirt every chance he could this summer. Several times a week! I was shocked he shared it with Will. Andrew is so generous and a gift giver! The shirt of course he did not give away but Will had so much fun wearing it that night.

 Will found the play mobile  and really enjoys playing with it. Andrew never played with it that much. The boys look identical to me at this age but their interest and personalities are so beautifully different.

 Once Will’s cheek healed from the pool he fell and got this bruise on his forehead! Oh my William can I wrap you in bubble wrap!
