11 things about 2011

Here is my top 11 things that happened in 2011 (I am sure I have forgotten a few things, this is what popped in my head as I typed.)

11. Getting a new camera
10.  Andrew talking all of the time
9. My flowers in the front yard got big and beautiful this summer.
8. Bobby is now half way done with school, only 2 more years left.
7. Lily has slept through the night since 3 weeks old!!!! Way to go little lady.
6. Andrew has become my craft and cooking buddy he loves doing little projects with me, we can’t wait to let Lily join in when she is older.
5. I started running and I am enjoying it. When my schedule allows it and when the weather is good.
4. I prayed for a happy baby and Lily is 10x happier than I would have expected.  She smiles all the time.
3. Andrew’s stomach has been good for the past 2 months, thank you flagyl.

2.  Andrew has gotten so much personality this past year, he makes us laugh all the time with what he says or what he does.  He went outside with pants on and this is what I found 5 min. latter.  He is using a stick for a baseball bat and a bike helmet as his batting helmet and the pants had dissappeared.

1.  Sweet Lily entering our family.  Her birth was powerful and peaceful and the same time. I will always remember the 1st time our eyes met when I held her for the first time.  She has brought so much joy and sunshine to our lives.

The Last Week in 2011

I love this sticker Andrew got this week.  He loves balloons right now, he talks about them constantly throughout the day.
Lily got a doll for Christmas, I love dolls, I am excited that I have a daughter now to play dolls with.  So far Lily seems to enjoy dolls too.
Caught in the act!  I can’t wait to see what name she picks out for this doll.
Lily eating baked ziti for the first time, she loved it!  She slept during the actual Christmas meal of it, but she did loved the leftovers.
Spaghetti face!
Andrew showing off how he cleaned his bowl.  He was also loved it.  I was surprised since lately he has refused to eat spaghetti with red sauce or lasagna.  I think all of the cheese in it kept him happy.

One morning this week, Bobby and I found Lily and Decker like this.  Decker was even letting Lily pet her (which is soft hitting).  This surprised us because Decker usually doesn’t get close to the kids unless Bobby or I are on the floor too.  It was a sweet moment.  Decker is great with our kids, she doesn’t really like Andrew chasing her around the house or hitting her with things if she in the the line of fire, but she only hides and gets out of the way.  At night she sleeps by their beds.  Before Andrew was born when the door bell rang she would run and hide after he was born she started barking furiously.  If we could only keep her in our backyard!  Andrew enjoys feeding her and keeping her inside water bowl full.  Decker also enjoys the treats that are left on the floor for her to clean up.  The other day I was getting onto Andrew for food on the floor and he told me it “Decker is going to clean it up."

Andrew looks way to grown up in this picture.  I can’t believe I only have a few short weeks until he is 3 years old! He is already calling me mom instead of mommy or momma.  I have no shame, I have been telling him that is not my name and that I only answer to momma.  We will see how long that will work.

More Christmas

The day after Christmas we did Christmas with the Caivano side of the family.
The cousins in age order.  It was a circus trying to get them to lay down at the same time.  This was the best shot I could get.

Dave holding the candy cane girls.
Drew and Maya doing Nana’s special apps on her phone.
Ava taking a snooze.
Patiently waiting to open stockings.

Ava and Lily hanging out together.
The bigger cousins took a glow stick bath.

We had a fun time together it was a great Christmas weekend.

Christmas Day

We had lunch and spent the day at Mimi and Gramps house.

My cute little Christmas present.
Dad ready to capture pictures.
Kirk striking a model pose.

Andrew ran around crazy super excited while we opened presents.  He had so much fun and Bobby couldn’t assemble stuff fast enough.
Lily taking a turn on the sit and spin.

We told Andrew to show us the nerf guns for a picture and said “Guns Up!”
This is a serious red raider!
Bobby had fun with the remote controlled Dodge Ram.
Lily stole Gramps heart being so sweet and huggable.

Christmas Morning

Andrew was so excited for Christmas morning.  The best part was getting to eat candy at 9 am.  He ate that whole tube of m&m’s in about 2 mins.

Andrew played with his stocking while I got our breakfast ready.  Lily jumped in too.
We started a new tradition this year, Andrew and I made homemade kolaches.  We also sang the kolache song to the tune of La Cucaracha
 Lily enjoying her stocking.
 Opening presents.
Andrew had asked me for weeks who present each one was under the tree and he remembered.

Andrew enjoyed Lily’s present and wanted Bobby to move it into his room.
Lily checking out her new house.
 Come on in, lets play.

Bobby with his diamond, yep I got him a diamond (it is a sharpening stone).
