Walking Woohoo

It is official today Lily walked more than she crawled.  She also walked all the way down the hallway without sitting down.  She is getting more confident every day.
My baby is becoming a toddler now that she is walking.
On Friday Lily got all dressed up to go eat at Joe T Garcia’s.
A super cute expression. I love that right now she walks to me and then falls into my arms.

Both Lily and Andrew started walking at 13 months of age, Andrew at the beginning of 13 months and Lily at the end of 13 months of age.

All Aboard again!

Andrew is a lucky little boy, he got to ride a train again!  Daddy took us all for a train ride in Fort Worth.  Andrew’s excitement is adorable, he was grinning from ear to ear.  He had so much fun with dad.
The boys all ready for the train ride.
Lily hoped in for a picture too.
Lily was a little unsure of the train ride at first, then she relaxed and enjoyed it and by the end she was ready to get off and explore.
 Andrew shouting “all aboard!!!"
Andrew’s train phase has been so much fun.  He is holding his ticket (a old grocery receipt) proudly next to the train.  He wanted his ticket in the picture too.

SPF

I can’t believe that we are already wearing bathing suits and putting on sunscreen.
Lily in her itty bitty pink poka dot tankini!
If I didn’t hold both of her hands she would take the glasses off.
Andrew showed Bobby how the slip and slide works.
Lily didn’t want to be close to the water at first and would cry if she accidentally got splashed, after a while she got more comfortable and had fun crawling around.

The weather has been great for playing outside!

2 stepping through month 13

Last week Lily took 3-4 steps several times all by herself!  She currently is up to 7 steps and it takes a lot of encouragement, but she is on her way to walking independently soon.  She loves to stand up not holding on to anything and squat down to touch the ground and then stand up again.  Going outside is Lily’s big motivator to walk, she bangs on the door and loves to crawl out, but I don’t like her crawling around on the pavement, so she has to be on her feet.
Lily loves her purse and is perfecting her balance of walking with the purse on her shoulder.
This month Lily’s vocabulary has taken off, she will try to say anything you ask her.  She loves to hear herself sing and will wave and talk to anyone who will listen.  She is at such a fun age of interacting more, but she still has some of the cute baby left in her.  At 13 months Lily is talking more than Andrew did at 2 years of age.  She has 3 teeth weighs 18.5 pounds and it looks like she will be keeping those pretty blue eyes.
Lily has her own opinions now and will let you know what she thinks.  She strongly dislikes getting her diaper changed, getting her clothes changed, taking a bath, riding in the car seat, and watching Andrew eat something she can’t have.  When I carry her though the laundry room from the garage she will throw herself to the pantry shelves to tell me she wants a snack.  She will eat almost anything or at least try it.  She is my party girl, she would rather skip a nap to play or go somewhere and will be in a good mood all night as long as she is entertained.

It has been a fun month full of lots of changes for Lily, she is perfecting her communication skills and is getting more and more mobile.

All Aboard!

On Friday we rode the real Thomas the Train.  Andrew was so excited all week long he waited with anticipation.  Friday finally came and he was all smiles.

Lily did not want to be in the stroller, she wanted to walk holding my hand.
Thomas is the blue train in the background.
Andrew got to jump in a Thomas the Train bounce house.

He got his first tattoo, of Thomas the Train.  He still has it on his hand.

It was a cold rainy day, as soon as we got on the train, Andrew got very upset because he was hungry and food was not allowed on the train.  Once he got over that he had so much fun on the train.  It was such a fun day!

The Throne

The Royal Blue Throne
Lily figured out how to climb into this chair.  She is so proud of herself and does it several times a day.  It has been interesting keeping big brother distracted while Lily plays with his chair.  The first day that she did it, I was cheering for her and Andrew wanted his chair back.  As soon as Andrew was able to get his hands on the chair he sat in it for a long time and then told me he was taking it to his room.
Andrew and I have had tummy troubles this week.  I am really hoping this doesn’t derail the potty training.  He has been in diapers this week.  The first day he ran through the house yelling “Yay! No more potty training!!!"
Lily was so excited to help Andrew play with playdough.  She always wants to be on her feet now.  This morning she stood up with out holding on to anything.  I like how chubby her arm looks in this picture!
Andrew was really focused on making his playdough cookies.  He didn’t even notice Lily climbing into his chair to get in on the action.
Lily was soooo excited when I let her sit in the other little chair.
What!!!! How did my babies get so big???  Andrew tuned me out the whole time and refused to look at the camera.  He was having a blast making trains with the train cookie cutter.  He is really excited about getting to ride the real Thomas the Train latter this week.

A beautiful day

Can you find Decker??
Decker loves to sit in my flower bed, here she is playing with the honey bees that were on the purple plant.  She was trying to bite or eat them.

I have a rule that Andrew is not allowed to walk around the flower bed, he had another idea.

I turn around to take a picture of this cutie pie eating her afternoon snack.
I found Andrew here, the king sitting on his throne.
Lily really wants to walk, she tried to walk with only one hand on her push walker so she could explore the ground cover.

Parking at the Park

Monday afternoon we enjoyed the beautiful weather at the park.  Drew and Maya had lots of fun playing together.

Ava and Lily had fun swinging together.

Andrew calls this the bounce house at the park.
Lily had a rough day on Monday, she had a fever from teething.  She started felling better by the time we went to the park.  Her eyes say it all.
This girl does love to swing, she will babble, kick her legs and squeal in delight.

The kids got hungry and we left to go eat BBQ at Angelos.  We had a fun time, it is crazy that we had 5 kids at the restaurant 3 years and younger and 7 adults!

Easter 2012

We had a fun Easter weekend.  On Friday the kids and I went to Wichita Falls to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary.
The girls, me, my mom, my aunts and my grandma.
It was a beautiful day and my aunt and uncle have a awesome patio, we played and ate outside all day. It was a fun laid back day.
Andrew had so much fun making balloons with sidewalk chalk.  The first thing he did when we go back home was get out the chalk my aunt gave him and make balloons in our backyard.
We ate dinner at Johnny Carinos,  Lily ate all of her food, Andrew ate only salad and bread, he is just like his daddy.
My grandparents with the 4 children.  They are a beautiful example to Bobby and I.
The kids enjoyed their Easter treats from Gigi and Boompa.
After church on Sunday we ate lunch at my parents house.
More Easter treats!

Oh no a golf club!  Andrew was very excited he loves counting golf swings like Count Von Count in a Sesame Street video.
Gramps and Lily.

After a crazy rain storm and nice long naps we went to the Caivano side Easter celebration.  We had a inside egg hunt since it had just rained.
Egg hunting fun.
Lily hunting, she was more interested in putting the wooden train whistle toy in her basket than the eggs.

 Lily liked carrying her basket.
More Easter treats, I got off easy this year, I didn’t have to do Easter baskets.
 Lily admiring the balloons.
Little miss Ave looking super cute sticking her tongue out, she helped cheer the egg hunter on.  She will defiantly be hunting next year.
Jakin is getting so big, he was awake and alert watching all of the egg hunting.

After dinner things got a little CRAZY!!!!
No one is claiming to know how these too ended up in the crib/ bounce house.
Drew and Maya have so much fun together.  Nana documented the crazy fun by videoing the kids.  It makes me wonder if Bobby and his sisters would have been allowed to do this?  Grandkids get away with everything :)
Uncle Dave loves to party it up!
Lily doing the Titanic pose.  She enjoyed jumping on this bed while watching the big kids.

It was such a fun weekend.  I loved getting to see so many family members. Monday we had to rest and recover from all of the fun.
