Friday Family Fun Night

Friday night we went out to eat as a family it was the last night before Bobby started school back up the next day.  We went to Cousins because I was craving BBQ and we had so much fun.
Andrew eating his first rib ever.  He loved it and cleaned the bone off and then had another one.
The boys eating ribs.  I LOVE this picture, I just wish it was on my good camera, all I had with me was my phone.
Baby girl ate a lot of BBQ too!
Then Bobby went all out and got Andrew his own bottle of Dr. Pepper made with cane sugar!
Watching a little bit of baseball while enjoying his own drink.
Best Friends.  Andrew often will tell Bobby that he is his best friend.  It is so cute to watch their relationship grow.  According to Andrew, Bobby makes the best train tracks, does the best tuck in at bedtime and I have a feeling the list will be growing.
On Saturday the boys went to a father son night at chick-fil-a.  Don't let Andrew's face fool you he had fun.  He came home and proudly showed me his ice cream cone, which then made Lily want one.  Oh the drama!

We had so much fun this weekend.  Even though Bobby has to be gone a lot some times, I really feel like we take advantage of the days that he is off.  I love that Bobby choses me and the kids to hang out with, with the little free time that he has!

when the cat is away the mice will play

Last week Andrew spent the night at my parents house.  I let Lily sit in his chair for lunch while he was gone and she was so happy. She had the biggest grin and enjoyed every minute of it.

Passing Elmo Down

Last week Andrew passed Elmo down to Lily.  She was so excited to have Elmo join her in her crib at night.  She loves to put her passies in his mouth and she says “Elmo”
So proud of her new friend.
It is hard to believe that Andrew is no longer really interested in Elmo.  He will watch him on TV but has not played with the stuffed animal in months.  Elmo loves his new home and says that Lily is taking great care of him.  I am proud of Andrew for giving him to Lily and not wanting him back.  He doesn’t mind watching Lily play with Elmo.

Justice is Served.... Lily has been desperately wanting to play with play dough.
I finally gave in and let her try play dough.  The expression on her face says it all.
Lily showing me the play dough.  She didn’t really enjoy playing with the dough, instead she enjoyed having me open different containers and she would try to put the lid on.  Thankfully no play dough was eaten and every one had fun.  Lily is growing up so fast, she still looks so tiny to me, but she defiantly knows what is going on and is acting more and more like a toddler.

Lily has a announcement to make

Andrew has the details.  Technically the due date is February 28th, 2013 so it could be February or March but that wouldn’t fit on the chalkboard.
I had to bribe Andrew with a Oreo cookie to cooperate and let me take his picture.
 I liked this picture too.

We are really excited to be adding another life to our family.  It has been a long few weeks of nausea and fatigue but I have been feeling better this weekend and hopefully will continue to.  Andrew kisses the baby/ my tummy every night before bed.  He wants the baby to be a boy and to name him Andrew.  He also wants the baby’s crib to be in his room right next to his bed.
Lily discovering she could touch the chalk and change the letters.
My attempt at getting a picture of the two of them together.
Umm it is time to call it quits with the pictures.
Lily saying, come on it!

Sprinkles

When we are out on walks in the neighborhood Andrew calls sprinklers “sprinkles.”  On Sunday after life group I was saying good bye to friends and our neighbors sprinklers were on, Andrew stripped down and started playing.  We then turned ours on.  This was his first time this year to run in the sprinklers.

Mindy was so sweet and fun to get wet with Lily.
The joy and energy of a 3 years is amazing!

Dog Bed Fun

This week I got Decker a new dog bed at Costco.  The kids had a lot of fun playing on it before we gave it to Decker.  They always want to play on her bed but it gets lots of dog hair on it.  Andrew wouldn’t let me get a picture of him and Bobby was even found laying on it with the kids.  Lily obviously looks really relaxed eating pretzels and reclining.  She always wants to eat laying down and it makes me nervous.
The kids patiently waiting for Nana to come over.
