moving through May

We are moving through May! Here are a few pictures of the fun we have been having.
One night we decorated pancakes with sprinkles.  Andrew loved this and ate his pancakes!  He usually  doesn't eat these anymore.
Lily was sad that she was too little to be that close to the griddle, but she had fun picking out a bib and her silverware.  Bobby loves Lily's expression in this picture.

Lily loves to pose for a picture and still requests me to take her picture.
One picture is adorable of Lily and the next one..
Drew is adorable.  It is so fun to go out and have pictures of the kids texted to us by the grandparents.
Lily trying out my childhood bed.  She wasn't ready to sleep there all night but is practicing since she is out growing the porta crib.  Those sheets are the softest sheets ever I miss them.
The kids had a blast planting flowers.  This was our first year to have them "help" us.  Drew picked out the yellow flowers and Lily picked purple flowers to plant.
I am sad to say that trains are no longer Andrew's favorite thing anymore.  He is now 100% into digger trucks and digging in 2 holes in our back yard.  He now wants to watch Mighty Machines too, we haven't watched a Thomas movies in about a month.
The pretty assistant, Lily.  Bobby and I think we would have never been allowed to dig holes in the backyard as kids. The kids now need baths every night, to rinse the dirt off!
 I love this little smile.

2 month old cutie

Will is 2 months old! He is a happy baby who loves to be held and snuggle.  This month he started grinning.  William also followed me (looked at me) across the room while I was talking. He loves to lock his legs and stand and loves to be bounced when held.  I love this little guy so much, he is so lovable.  I could kiss his soft checks all day!
I love that smile!
Look at those adorable rolls on his arm! Right now his favorite way to do tummy time is on the boppy pillow like this.

Will weighed 13.2 ounces 69% and is 24 inches long 82%.  He is filling out his 3 month clothes and is moving up to size 2 diapers and in cloth diapers he now uses the regular insert.  He loves to be swaddled, a few nights he got out of the swaddle and didn't sleep as good as the nights he stays in the swaddle.

Will likes to stay up late and sleep late in the morning.  Most nights he goes to bed around 10:30 or 11 pm and will usually sleep all night until around 7 when he will wake up to eat and then go back to sleep.  I usually wake him up around 8:30 to get his day started if he hasn't waken up for the day already.
William is taking 3 naps a day.  I am thankful that most days he takes a good long afternoon nap when Lily does.  He is good at sleeping where ever right now, I am so thankful for that.  I have managed to go to the gym 3 times so far and he has taken a morning nap there!
So much cuteness... oh my!!!!  William is doing so much better in the car, he is learning to give in just fall asleep.  He is my first child to sleep in the car for now!  He fuses a little but usually decides to just take a snooze.

Early May

Ahhh April is over!  Tomorrow Bobby takes his last final for the spring semester.  April has been a tough month.  Bobby was so busy with school.  We are so excited for a nice 3 week break from school.  I have been counting down the days until May 8th when the semester is over for him.  Here are some fun pictures from last week.
My big boy in a little doll cradle.
Sorry cutie pie it is going to be a long hot summer.
The kids were so excited when I cleaned out the pool.  They played in it empty for most of an afternoon.

2 little cooks, we got to see Ava quite a bit last week when she stayed with Nana for the week.
It is so fun to watch these girls play together.  Lily had fun bossing Ava around and Ava seemed to enjoy it too, for now.

On Tuesday we had a girls lunch date while Drew was at school and William napped.  I had so much fun watching them play just the 2 of them.
Wednesday I filled the pool up, the water was cool, but the kids had so much fun.  Andrew even let me take his picture!

They were in the pool for a whole hour!
A handsome smile!  Last summer Andrew would not swim without his swim shirt.  He requested to wear it for his first swim.  It is good that he wears it for sun protection, but I like seeing him in just swim trunks too.
My little natural beauty!  It took her a while to get used to getting the swimsuit wet.  She kept telling me and getting upset.  After the first 10 minutes she accepted that it is okay to get the suit wet.
Lily pretending to be a baby, she is such a little ham and loves to make me laugh.

Then on Thursday it got really cold and we stayed inside.

Brothers

Andrew and I back in 2009
William and me currently

 cooing and talking to mama.

I have had fun looking back at old pictures to remember how little Drew and Lily were.  I think William and Andrew defiantly look similar and related.  It will be fun to see if that continues as William keeps growing.  William is becoming his own little guy.  Today he gave Andrew a huge grin and smile when Andrew was showing him a toy.  I can't wait to see more of that!

My 2 year old toddler

Lily has officially been a year old for almost 2 months now. Lily's verbal communication has exploded these past couple of weeks. She often talks in sentences, tries to count and tries to sing her ABC's.  She is the proud big sister to her baby (she won't call him William, but only baby).  It took her about a full month to adjust to her new role, and now she is a great loving big sister.  She loves to give William his passie and she is very aware of where he is, she is often asking me where baby is and tells me to put baby in the car or get him out of the car.
Lily loves to go down slides and play outside. I love her rosy red checks.

On Tuesday we played with oatmeal (because I was out of dried beans).  I love watching my kids figure things out and learn.  She had so much fun making a mess she played with this for about 30 min and then helped me sweep the floor.
Serious work going on.  This week Lily also helped me wash dishes.  Lily has started showing interest in potty training we did good for a few days and then lost interest.  It was so cute, she loved having Andrew coach and cheer her on.
Lily loves to wear "rings" to bed, her passies.  Lily's imagination is fun to watch, she notices so many little things.  Lily also loves to pick out her clothes.  These frog pajama's and her princess pajamas are her favorite clothes along with her cupcake pajamas.  Some days I give in and let her wear them all day like she wishes.  Lily also loves to pick out her hair accessories, shoes and socks.  Her favorite color right now is purple and she loves ducks.
