Smiles on a sick day

It has been a long week here at the Caivano house. Bobby has been studying and working hard. On his first night back to work Andrew woke up at 9 pm with a 103 degree fever. It was a long night. Lily slept great that night, so I was able to take care of Andrew. It was difficult trying to keep germs away from Lily. The next two days were tough, Andrew didn't sleep well day or night due to congestion and Bobby was working. So I was so tired. Thankfully Lily appears to be doing well and besides a runny nose Andrew is back to himself.

On a happy note look who can't stop smiling. It melts my heart every time. These smiles remind me that these long days are precious and short.

We may have stayed home in our pajamas, but Lily did it in style.

Look at that grin!
Another smile from our little princess.

I have to get creative on days that we stay home all day. So Andrew got to drink water from a cup without a lid a use a silly straw and Easter candy was used for counting activities.

Enjoying his candy.

Having fun while mom makes a grocery list.

As I took this picture I thought about how before I know it Andrew will be sitting at this table working on homework. I cherish our laid back days at home, when a silly straw and a pen and paper make a little boy smile!

Easter Sunday 2011

We had a great Easter this year, Bobby was supposed to work but got put "on-call" so he got to go to church and hang out with both sides of the family!

Family picture take 1
Family picture take 2, the Easter basket helped keep Andrew on my lap for the picture.
The family, our family of 4 is growing and we can't wait to officially welcome Sarah in August.
Adorable, I love sleeping baby pictures.
Showing off some Easter treats. Andrew loved the little basket, it was just his size
Always generous, Andrew giving Lily some of his treats. I hope he will still do this in a couple of years.
Lily in her Easter dress.
When we got to Nana's house Lily was alert and all smiles for Granny.
Andrew had a blast playing with his cousins, Gabby and Callie. They were so sweet to let a 2 year old boy join in on the fun.
All boy, crazy cute.
We celebrated Granny's 80th birthday that evening.
Drew and Nana during his egg hunt.
The crowd goes wild watching Drew find eggs.
The Easter bunny made a appearance and of course had to snack on candy!
Our other little bunny sleeping after a fun day.
Digging into more Easter fun, Andrew made sure to try all of his gifts.

Eggtra Fun

This past Saturday our church had our annual Easter egg hunt outreach. We had a lot of fun. First thing Andrew did was jump into the bounce house. He jumped and jumped and jumped some more.

Jmping is one of Andrew's favorite things to do, he jumps for joy several times a day.
He had so much fun jumping with friends.
Sweet Lily bug slept through the whole thing. She is such a layed back girl, the wind and warm weather didn't bother her a bit.
Mimi had fun getting snuggle time with Lily.
Waiting for the egg hunt to begin.
Andrew wasted no time getting to work. He also helped some friends get eggs too. He had fun putting them in his friends baskets too. It was so cute he would put them in little girls baskets. I am teaching him well, chocolate is the way to a girls heart. The soccer ball egg was his favorite and the first egg he picked up.
Andrew also got a spider man painted on his face.

Trying to open a starburst, and he was successful. He ate about 3 in five minutes.
Digging in and checking out the candy.

Rub a Dub, Lily in the Tub

Here Lily is fresh out of the tub. This is her favorite place to be, on mom's shoulder. I love it! I also love how she calms down when she hears my voice. As I watch Andrew become more and more independent, it reminds me to savor this sweet time of Lily's need for me. My prayer for her is that we are establishing the mother/ daughter bond Christ intend for us.

Friday Fun

Dana drove up and spent the day with us on Friday. It was so much fun, Andrew had so much fun playing with her, Dana loved getting to snuggle with Lily and I had fun having her around and getting to catch up on our lives.

Andrew and Dana listening to her ipod and eating jelly beans. Andrew had never used head phones before and he didn't know what to think of it.
Andrew's favorite thing to play with Dana was jam session. The record player would play the song, Andrew would play the guitar with his stick horse and Dana was on the keyboard.
Here is Dana jamming on the guitar while Andrew plays the piano. They both got really into their music :)

It is always a fun visit with Dana, I am so blessed to have such a special friend!

A cut above the rest

Bobby has been busy in the garage enjoying the beautiful weather and breaking in some new tools. Here is a end grain cutting board that he made out of black walnut and rock maple wood. This was his first project using a more expensive wood, he found it at a lumber yard in Fort Worth that sells all different kinds of wood in hard to get widths and thickness. I think it turned out great. I told Bobby he will have to make the first cut on it because it is too pretty.

On ebay these sell for $150.00 Bobby made it for $30.00, but my favorite thing is that I can say that my hubby made it for me.

Bobby's favorite way to relax when he is not studying or working.
A action shot. (When I took this picture Bobby was laughing because, if the saw was on and he was feeding wood through he would not be smiling and looking at the camera unless he wanted to loose some fingers, however I think it is a cute picture.)

I can't wait to see what his next project is.

Playdates

Lily and Emilynn had their first play date last week. They are 6 days apart, and have been sleeping or eating through most of their play times together.
Lily is not a fan of being on her back, Emilynn was kick back and relaxing. Lily has 2 other friends who will be making their debut into this world very soon. It is so fun to have friends to walk life out with that also have baby girls the same age.

Andrew calls Emilynn "Lily" when he sees her. It is cute all babies to him right now are "Lily."
