You are What You Eat

imgres.jpg

The past couple of days when ever Andrew sees a Dr. Pepper can or 2 litter bottle he says "dadda." Today Andrew and I were at walmart and they had lots of displays on Dr. Pepper around the store. Every time we saw these displays he would loudly shout and point to the dr. pepper and say "dadda." It was so funny, can you guess what Bobby's beverage of choice is? My question is what food does Andrew associate me with?

I love hearing Andrew communicate with words! He has had a little verbal explosion this past weekend, saying several new words and communicating more verbally!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Andrew's favorite spot to play with his cars, trains and airplanes is on the kitchen table right now. It is cute to watch him climb up into the chair with his head barely peeking over the table.

It is so fun to watch his play change, he is becoming detailed oriented with his play. If you notice the trains are on the placemat waiting to be played with while Andrew plays with the cars.

Lining up the cars, trains and airplanes like they are on a train track is very popular at our house right now.

38 weeks

Here is Lily and I at 38 weeks, I am officially full term, although she still has several more weeks that she could stay in there if she wishes. I am feeling great, at this point in my pregnancy with Andrew I was on bed rest, my blood pressure was unsafely high and I was swollen all the time. Thankfully this time is different, I have barely had swollen feet and this only after a long day on my feet. I have been able to keep working out, so overall I feel better. The bags is packed the room is ready, so we are patiently waiting to see our little girl!

Normal week

This week has been fun and uneventful. We have been outside a lot, and hanging out with friends. I have been "nesting" like crazy this week, I have been waking up at 5 am ready to "get to work" wanting to mop the floor do laundry and ect. As you can guess by the time Andrew's nap time comes around I am exhausted! We are excited that it is a sign that Lily will be coming soon. We currently are just waiting, I will be "full term" on Friday but my due date isn't until March 15th. We live such a scheduled life, waiting and having no control is driving both Bobby and I crazy, because as hard as we try to not have a bunch of stuff going on, things end up on the calendar and we often talk about when it would be best and most convenient for Lily to come! funny right!

I tried to get a picture of Andrew's new teeth, it seems like all of a sudden he has a full mouth of teeth. I love that he has done so well with teething that I don't even know when they come in! Instead of teeth, he gave me this cute playful expression.
Andrew loves hanging out with his new friend Anna in life group.
My bulbs I planted this fall have started coming up. They are so pretty and it reminds me how creative God is. The bulbs looked like onions when I planted them, and they turned into this beautiful flower.

So that is our week so far, tonight is Bobby's last night at work for a few days so it will be nice to have more time with him. He is stretched pretty thin between work and studying. Last night he ending up working a 14 hour shift! He still managed to have enough energy to chase Andrew down the hallway a few times to get some squeals and giggles out of him!

We are planning on making our "last trip" to BabiesRUs before Lily is born this weekend, to get diapers and stuff. It feels like yesterday that we did the same trip for Andrew's birth, hard to believe it has been 2 years!

Cousins

Andrew and his cousin Addy had fun playing today in the "portable play pen" Kirk's truck!

I was proud of Andrew he did a great job sharing his animal cookies with Addy. Andrew is growing up into toddler stage of wanting to play with other kids, he kept grabbing Addy's hand to have her come play with him.

Gramps and Popi were on watch over the kiddos.
Andrew tried his first deviled egg for dinner, he liked the filling but wasn't sure about eating the outer egg part.

We had a fun evening of hanging out with family.

Lovlies for Lily

Today we celebrated Miss. Lily. I had my baby shower, it was so much fun. It was beautiful, the food was delicious and Lily will be a well dressed little lady, thanks to great friends and family.

Check out that cake and wreath, so cute!!!
The pretty table, I loved all of the pink, it reminded me of my wedding showers that were all pink.
I have always wanted a diaper cake, my Aunt Judy made this for me.
"My throne"
The sign in table with the prayer ring.
The proud grandmas, Mimi and Nana.
About to start opening the gifts!
Action shot.

I got lots of fun little sister stuff, I am excited because I didn't have any before the shower.
A fun hamper for the pink bedroom. (I am in denial, that is not really what I look like right now :)
Sweet loving family.
Babies, yes, most of my friends at the shower either had a young baby or was pregnant. Don't drink the CF water!
The beautiful blanket my grandma (gigi) made for Lily.
The beautiful afghan Nana made for Lily.
Friends
My cousin Amy made super cute bows to match outfits. I am so excited about bows! I hope Lily cooperates.
Sweet friends.
Lily will be well dressed in lots of pink!
My mom made super cute burp clothes for Lily and me.
Fun girly western wear.
My sweet friend Ashley who came in from Lubbock. It is hard to believe that we met our freshman year in Phi Lamb and the worked at the rec together, took our social work classes together and did our internship together our senior year.
Dana was able to drive up and was the official photographer.
My wonderful hostesses, minus Christy and Sarah.
Friends with baby bumps! It is fun to share this season of life with other fun girls.

As soon as I wash our new clothes Bobby and I will be ready for her to come. I even started packing our hospital bag. When I was pregnant with Andrew I remember not feeling ready for him to come. I guess it was fear of the unknown. This time with Lily, we still have no clue what life will be like the first couple of weeks, but know that we will survive and love it, so why wait!

Family Love

Lily we are a month away from your due date, we can't wait to meet you and are curious when you will make your debut.

My super cute bachelor

Happy Valentines Day!!! We had a fun day, it started off with our traditional heart shaped pancakes, then we headed to the zoo to meet up with some friends. Andrew came home and took a 4 hour nap (????) We ate dinner with dad and played until bedtime.

hello month #9

I still can't believe it, today I am 36 weeks. I have officially entered the 9th month of pregnancy. I feel big, tired and my back is sore most evenings. Thankfully I haven't had the same amount of swelling that I had with Andrew (another good sign that my blood pressure is healthy) and my legs haven't been as numb and tingly as with Andrew. I have officially exercised to the 9th month of pregnancy, with Andrew I had to stop because of my blood pressure, so overall I feel good most days.

We can't wait to meet Lily and see what she looks like. As the due date approaches we have been praying more and more for a happy, healthy easy going baby.

We go to the dr. on Friday and it will be interesting to see how big they think she is and if they think she will come early or late.

Snow day = school day

Today we had a half snow day here at our house. It was snowing this morning, so we stayed home from the gym today. We have had quite a few days of staying home, I have noticed the more we are hanging around the house, the more intentional I am about working on "school" stuff. We sing our ABC's and counting song more and work on our colors more. Of course this doesn't last that long and I keep it fun, he has the rest of his life to be forced to do school stuff.

Andrew's worksheet of fun.

When Andrew woke up from his 3.5 hr nap (so thankful!!!!) this is how I found him. Too cute.

After his nap we took a quick trip to costco for the essentials (diapers and peanut butter pretzels for the boys.)
After dinner Andrew was begging to go outside and play basketball, umm.. no thanks it is a little cold out there, okay it is freezing.

So I did what all good moms do, I said do you want to play on the computer? distraction #1 worked.

We found these online games on the fisher price website for infants and toddlers.
Andrew loves playing them, so thankfully I was able to stay warm and toasty inside and Andrew got to have fun with his new game.
Momma and son after a fun filled day. We had coordinated shirts on today, so that is always a fun reason to take a picture!

sleepy head

Andrew has been requesting a hat for bed time now. This is the hat of choice, it was a winter hat that fit him better last year, although there is a little room left. Tonight he requested it be put on his head when he got his passi and blanket. I laughed to myself wondering if we have another thing to add to our bedtime and nap time routine. After he was sleeping for about a hour tonight, he started making a weird moaning cry, I thought to myself please don't let Andrew be getting sick. Well thankfully I opened the door and he instructed me to put his hat on his head and he closed his eyes and went back to sleep. I am curious how long this will last. At least I know he is keeping warm in his room.

My terrific 2 year old, the western pillow, the barnyard bumpers, the ski hat, and a frog blanket, he is quite a lucky guy.

Cabin Fever Day 4

We currently are half way through day 4 of cabin fever! Things are getting pretty boring around here. We have played with all of the toys, done all our crafts and Andrew has gotten to watch more videos than usual.

Andrew's cabin fever has lead him to rearrange his room.
In this picture Andrew has taken all of the books out of his shelf and has decided to put all of his balls on the shelves. He is very proud of this new arrangement.

After he was done rearranging he told me to go "bye, bye" and pointed to the door of his room. So I left and he shut the door. I waited a couple of minuets and then came in and this was where I found him.

Andrew is not allowed in this closet in his room. It is where we store his outgrown toys and clothes. He also was climbing on top of books, trying to get to old toys he could see!!!

So I let him get this baby toy out, and he really enjoyed for about 10 minuets.
Air pops the balls out of the toy and Andrew puts them back in.
So getting out old toys seemed to help pass the time.

As much as I hate being trapped at home, I am enjoying all of the time Andrew and I are getting to spend together without our normal distractions of errands and stuff to do. Yesterday it started to hit me that this will be our last month of just the 3 of us and I will have 2 kids to take care of soon!
