For the past several weeks Lily would get up on her hands and knees in her crib and rock when she didn’t want to sleep, basically only when she was mad. Yesterday she did it several different times on her play mat and was happy (kinda). This week has been tummy time boot camp, now that Lily is feeling better I have been trying to be more consistent with getting her on her tummy.
Here have been the obstacles:
1. Lily is not a fan of tummy time, she prefers to sit up.
2. Andrew gives Lily the toys she can’t reach. This week I started using puffs for motivation, and he would just put the ones she couldn’t reach in her mouth.
3. As soon as Lily starts to fuss, Andrew will just roll her over on her back.
It is cute to watch all of this happen, it brings out the man in Andrew to just fix the problem and make Lily happy. Anyways now to the good part.
The blue eyed cutie pie.
Action shot, this shirt covers up the accomplishment but I can promise you her tummy is off the ground and she is on her knees.
This is the common expression Lily has on her face during tummy time. Once she figures out how to move forward instead of backward, I think her opinion will change. She was right next to Andrew and had moved backwards.
Andrew enjoys showing Lily how easy it is to crawl.
I love watching Lily rock her little bottom in the air!
