This spring it rained and rained and rained some more. It was crazy and we broke some records for the most rain in the month May (2015).
On the side of our house by the kitchen table, there is a low spot in the yard with no grass. When it constantly rains water collects there, and we started calling it, "the lake". The kids would check every morning to see if "the lake" was there. Here they are one morning playing in our own lake!
Will loves splashing in puddles and running through the mud.

After running in the lake we went on our puddle walks. These are always so much fun, going on a walk looking for puddles to walk through.
Sheer joy.
We found a big one and went up Andrew’s ankles AND WILL’S SHINS!
Every year we go on at least one puddle walk in the rain or in-between rains and we always have so much fun. So, until next year.
