Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Andrew and Lily really enjoyed our advent devotionals and all of our little Christmas traditions.

Christmas eve in our pjs. This picture captures their personalities perfectly. Andrew is holding a lego figure in the picture, Lily is adorable and Andrew is holding the back of Will’s pajama shirt to keep him from running away.
Bobby smoked ribs Christmas Eve day, they were so good and melted in my mouth.

We went to the Christmas Eve service at our church that evening. It was a little crazy having all 3 kids with us and we ended up sitting toward the front, yikes! William did good for the first half and then he got so restless that he and I ended the service in the foyer outside the sanctuary. I was able to capture these angelic photos.

This was Andrew’s first year to hold a candle all by himself. He did a great job and didn’t get burned by the wax.

Christmas morning Andrew and Lily woke up at 7 am, sweet Will was still sound asleep. We woke Will up and started the stockings, Andrew and Lily were so excited and full of energy.
Bobby got some good early morning snuggles from Will, it took him a little longer to wake up.

After stockings we ate homemade cinnamon rolls with sparkling apple juice. The kids love the tradition of drinking out of plastic goblets on Christmas eve and Christmas day. This year Will got his own goblet. He did really well with it. I would have never let Lily or Andrew have a open cup of juice at his age, but I knew he would demand to have a cup and he does well mimicking the big kids.

The kids ate the fastest breakfast ever! Lily usually takes a long time to eat in the morning, not on Christmas day. They scarfed down their food in 5 minutes and were ready to open presents.

Who is ready to open presents!
Patiently waiting for dad to get the presents.

Will checking out his workbench and tools that he got. He loved it and went straight to work.

 A girly nerf gun.
 Everybody got a nerf gun.
Andrew’s big present from mom and dad the arctic base camp. We hid it behind the curtains and made sure it was the last gift opened…. because….

We knew this is what would happen. Andrew got straight to work building he built all day on Christmas for hours and hours.

Lily got a karaoke machine with the Frozen soundtrack as her main present. She was shy at first with it and wouldn’t let me take her picture with it. I promise she likes it and belts out Let it Go in the privacy of her room.
Will enjoys the microphone as well, he wasn’t as shy about it.
Will got straight to work helping dad with his new tools.

Adorable.

After presents we went to my parents house that morning to celebrate with my family...
