Super Stars!

Andrew is playing his first season of soccer this spring. He had his first game this past Saturday. His team name is the Super Stars. We had 2 practices before the game. We have had beautiful weather lately, but on the days of soccer practice and the first game it has been freezing cold. I have learned to bundle everyone up in multiple layers and be prepared for a blizzard and then we can take off extra clothes if needed. Thankfully all 3 kids have been enjoying going to soccer practice and games.
My Super Star was so excited to get his jersey and wear his shin guards.
Andrew and his best friend Henry are on the team together, so is Elliot, Henry’s little brother.

This little star is always walking/ practically running on the field at all times. He was a trooper at this game, after the first quarter he hung out in the car to get out of the cold wind.

 Go Super Stars!
Waiting for the game to start. Andrew did so well, he ran after the ball the whole game. By the second half he got more confident and kicked the ball twice during live play. He had a big smile on his face the whole time and said it was fun.
 His first corner kick.
He ran for a whole hour!
Throwing the ball in.

I had so much fun watching a cheering. I am excited to see how much Andrew learns at the end of these 8 games. We took him to his first practice having never really played soccer at home, at the game I could tell he was trying to figure out what was going on, all of the cheering, the coach talking and the ref talking.

Lily has been practicing with the team. She loves it and she has her own pair of shin guards too. I have a feeling it won’t be long before she is out there on the field too.

Andrew practices at my old high school, it is so strange going back up there. It feels like high school was a whole other life. The kids think it is neat to see where I went to school.

I am officially a soccer mom with 3 kids, a dog and a minivan! Living the dream!

Go Super Stars! I hope the next practice and game is nice pleasant spring weather!
