Picasso

Andrew and Lily have been on a art kick lately.  I guess it is the hot weather.  They have filled several coloring books, painted too many times to count, stamped and colored some more.  Andrew has started drawing pictures that look more like a preschooler than a toddler.  He can also write his name now when he wants to.  I am proud of him his name has 6 letters, including a E R and W.  In typical Andrew style he decided to write his name and he could.  I had been trying for months to get him excited about practicing writing his letters. He would refuse to practice.  Then one day he wanted to write his name on his paper and he did it. He has also practiced using scissors and has really improved. Just when I thought we had watched too much TV this summer, Andrew has impressed me with his new and refined skill.
Andrew drew this at first it was Cubby, Izzy and Jake.  Then he changed his mind and it became Will, Lily and Andrew.
This guy can roll like crazy and looks super cute while doing it.
Our family picture that Andrew drew.  I love it!
 My little stud muffin!
This kid colored a whole book in about 2 hours one day, every page! Then he cuts pictures out of the books.  He has gone through 4 coloring books in 2 weeks!
Lily is using scissors well and did really good using a glue stick.  She can also take the lids off the markers and click them back on when she is done!
Since we have been on a art kick we painted pottery today at a place in Arlington.  Andrew made a rainbow dolphin.
Lily painted a beautiful butterfly.

Summer days have been fun. The creative juices have been flowing at our house. At the begging of September Andrew will start preschool and he will get to do a lot of crafts there.  Andrew asks almost every day if it is time for school to start :)
