a new friend

Andrew has a new friend. He arrived yesterday. Can you find him in the picture with Lily. He is Andrew’s “baby.” Our new friend likes to sit in Lily’s seats, play with Lily’s toys and likes to wear Andrew’s blue diaper.

Yes, Andrew is officially a toddler and loves Elmo! He made sure Elmo was on the play mat this morning during breakfast, just like I do with Lily. Thankfully Lily doesn’t seem to mind sharing with our furry red friend. If you look close she is holding Elmo’s hand.

When I change Andrew’s diaper and get him dressed Lily sits or lays on the bed and watches. Andrew is so sweet with her on his bed, he often will read her a book or give her kisses on her cheek. Here he is after bath time holding her hand while I get him ready for bed.
This is Lily’s new favorite way to sleep. For the past week every time I go in her room while she is sleeping, she is in this position.
We have a fun filled weekend coming up, Sarah will officially become "Aunt Sarah” to Lily and Andrew when she and Kirk tie the knot. We can’t wait for the fun to begin!
