Barn Yard Bash

I can't believe a year has gone by! Bobby and I were laughing about this past year, and how we wondered at times if we would ever make it to through the first year. Well we have and it has been such a fun new adventure. We can't wait to see what life with a toddler is like. It still feels crazy to say that! We had so much fun celebrating Andrew's birthday this weekend! We did a barn yard theme so here are the pictures from my camera, I can't wait to see other peoples pictures too.

Our little sheriff

My one year old!

We woke him up on his birthday, I love the sleepy face. He was not too sure about the camera and video camera that early in the morning.
The birthday shirt.

The farm family waiting for the party to start.

Could get him to keep the hat on for the party. I attempted to at least get a picture, however that was difficult to.

Andrew helping mom and dad set up the tables for the party.

Andrew getting his sippy cups organized and ready for the party!

Andrew did not like it when were putting some of his old toys away to make room for the new ones. It is hard to tell in the picture but that is his toy basket and we were taking toys out of it.

Kirk made this western star decoration for the party.

The western saloon doors into the kitchen.

The cake!!!

The pigs, sheep and chicks that also celebrated with Andrew.

The birthday banner that Sarah and I made.

Some of the other table decorations.

Andrew loved playing with balloons for the first time.

However he did not want his picture taken with them. This was his "it's my party and I will cry if I want to moment!" Other than here he loved his party and the whole weekend.

Are these for me?

Checking out his high chair decorations.

More balloons, yes he ate broccoli and mac and cheese before he got cake.

Very suspicious about the cake and candle.

He froze, I guess because almost 20 people were watching, taking pictures or videoing this moment. He refused to eat, he licked a little bit of icing off Bobby's finger and did not like the homemade icing.

Then my uncle Don smeared some icing on his face for a picture, which was even stranger to Andrew. So he didn't eat the pig cupcake but the party continued...

Balloons!

Andrew trying to figure out cute little Addy.

Gigi and Bumpa with the Andrew

Some of the party guests.

Gramps put on his "Sunday best" for the party!

Cute couple!

Andrew doing his "cool" face with Dana

Checking out the new barn

Taking "pancake" for a ride

The cool truck uncle Kirk got him.

So as you can tell we had so much fun. Now it is Monday and we are trying to clean and organize and get back to normal. Thanks to everyone who helped make this such a special weekend.

Funny note: 99 photos off of my camera made the cut, to get put on the computer and we videoed close to a hour and a half on the video camera!

  1. Ugh! Being sick is no fun at all. I too have been dealing with a sick family all weekend. Kian has an ear infection and Mark and I have had colds. I am sure it is nothing like the stomach flu though. It is awful being a Mom and being sick! Moms are not supposed to get sick, we have too much to take care of. On a better note, Andrew is getting so big! Looks like you had such a fun birthday party! The cake and cupcakes are especially to die for! How creative and adorable. Good for you for feeding him some veggies before the cake, I did the same thing, haha, it makes me feel better about giving into him having sugar I guess. :) You sure have a cutie! Love the updates! Take care.
