Missouri 2011

This past memorial day weekend the kids and I headed up to Missouri to see my cousin Seth get married. Bobby wasn't able to get off work for the whole weekend so he held down the fort at home.

We left at 3 am on Friday, hoping that the kids would sleep for most of the trip. Well... Lily did sleep most of the trip to Missouri she only cried for about 1 hour of the trip. Andrew was awake most of the trip and slept briefly between 10-11am. We made great time and got in to town in the early afternoon. We rested up and got dressed up to go to the rehearsal dinner.

Gramma and Grandpa were very excited to meet and hold Lily. She loved Grampa voice, she smiled and cooed at them when she met them.

Andrew and Mimi hanging out during the rehearsal. Andrew loved playing the ipad games.
Aunt Connie, Uncle Craig, Grandpa and Lily.
On Saturday we slept in and hung out at the hotel before the early afternoon wedding. Andrew and Gramps rocked out to music on the ipad (Andrew is playing his guitar to the music)
Cute couple (except Kirk's eyes are closed)
Mimi and Lily chillen.
At the wedding all dressed up.
Playing around, Andrew enjoyed running down the hallway that had children's paintings on the wall.
Andrew helping clean up after the wedding.
On Sunday we went to St. Joe (Gramma and Grandpa's house) for fun and food.
Lily was a great little traveler, she kept her same schedule (sleeping and eating) on the road, she even went to bed early a few nights.
Andrew had a blast riding around the back yard.
He was all smiles and wouldn't let Kirk stop the ride.

We woke up at 3 am on Monday to head home. Andrew did great on the way home, poor Lily did not have a good trip home. She did not like the car seat at all. We made good time and got home at 1:45 pm. We had fun, but it made me thankful for our slow days at home we have. Always being on the go with 2 little ones was a lot of work. Andrew slept for almost 14 hours on Monday night and Lily slept for 12! It was so nice to get a good nights sleep in our own beds.
